Bryn Kenney: All the accusations of guest-hosting a tipster are lies

Bryn Kenney accused of cheating

In poker circles, it’s not just the big money that’s spinning, it’s the big passions. In the pursuit of earnings, success, and new opportunities, players often lose their humanity. At first they actively train to be able to break into the right layers of poker, and once they have earned the right status, they can turn to cheating. But sooner or later the truth comes out and you have to answer for your mistakes, as it happened with Bryn Kenny.

Where it all started

Recently an unbelievable scandal involving the famous poker player Bryn Kenney has broken out. He has been openly accused of cheating, gambling, and hustling. The topic was brought up on Doug Polk and Martin Zamani’s podcast and immediately gained momentum. After the broadcast, poker player Lauren Roberts stepped in.

The woman first shared screenshots of her conversation with Bryn, from which it’s difficult to understand the big picture, as indeed their relationship. However, there was a message there threatening that Bryn would ruin Lauren’s reputation in the community. He was going to do this by telling the others how she had “dumped” him. Another post directly accused the woman of cheating and fraud.

Roberts ended up openly stating that Kenny had been playing poker by logging into her account. She knew about the hosting, and Bryn even openly told her once that she “won” a tournament, her debt was reduced, yet she didn’t play herself. Furthermore, Lauren added that he had done similar things with other accounts.

As Bryn was actively winning, he lost interest in Lauren. As a result, the woman quit poker. She also clarified that the GGs were engaged in cheating. They pretended not to see Kenny’s “horses” involved in the game, using a VPN. Eventually the company got well up and wanted to go legit, so these sorts of chips stopped. In her statement, Lauren recounted many more details about Bryn.

Developments

Accusations of hosting flew at Bryn from many other poker players. So similar has been confirmed by Martin Zamani. In addition, some top regulars intervened in the process. Some took Kenny’s side and some also accused him of fraudulent schemes. Some players even began to list the name of poker rooms and online venues, where, if you dig well, you can find a lot of interesting things and not only on Bryn.

Another “participant” Zamani accused of such was Sergi Reiszak. Martin called him a key figure in Bryn’s fraudulent schemes. Sergi himself denied such allegations. He added that they were only linked with Bryn on a technical level, namely the training of the “horses”.

Kenny’s response

Bryn gave a big interview to PokerNews, where he called the accusations of hosting, as well as the tipster, a lie. He revealed that Martin’s scheme was to blackmail him afterwards, which is why they stopped communicating. They had only been friends with Lauren, but the relationship deteriorated when Bryn got a girlfriend. Information about Lauren “winning” the tournament was denied by him.

Although Bryn has pretty much denied everything and voiced his own versions of the events as told by other poker players, there are still a couple of points that are confusing. He failed to explain why TeamViewer and VPN are present on his computer. The confirmation of their presence is a photo of a screen he posted on his Twitter in 2018.
