Russian poker

Russian poker is one of the most exciting games of chance. In this version of poker, players receive a standard five-card hand, after which they have to make a choice: leave the cards in their hand as they are, change any of their cards for new ones, or take an additional sixth card. This game is especially interesting in that you can collect two separate winning card combinations from your cards, and thereby win the casino twice.

The winning hands here are the same as in regular poker: from royal flush to high card. However, let’s look at the principle of playing Russian poker online.

How to play Russian poker

Whether it’s regular poker or online Russian poker, the player must first place a mandatory bet called an ante. The dealer then deals five cards to each player and himself, face down. The dealer’s fifth card is turned over so that the players can see it. Players now have the opportunity to look at their cards and decide what to do next:

  1. If he does not like his cards, he can immediately stop the game (fold). In this case, he loses his bet;
  2. The player can change any of his cards, for which he will have to pay part of his bet;
  3. Make a buy-in – take the sixth card – for which you will also have to give up part of your bet (this option is good if the player has a flush or straight in his hands).

If a player’s hand doesn’t improve after a draw or draw, he can also limit his losses to two bets and simply stop playing.

If the player likes the hand and can potentially beat the dealer’s hand, it is definitely worth playing further. To do this, you need to double the bet (bet), after which the dealer will show his cards. If the player wins against the dealer, he is paid the winnings depending on which combination of cards he has in his hand. In this case, the dealer’s cards must necessarily form at least the lowest of the possible winning combinations of Russian poker.
